Greek mythology
Humanity was reborn after a great flood when Deucalion and Pyrrha threw stones over their shoulders, which transformed into men and women.
Rebirth from Stone
• The Great Flood: Zeus decided to destroy the corrupt early human race with a massive deluge.
• The Survivors: Deucalion (son of Prometheus) and his wife Pyrrha survived by building a small ark.
•The Riddle: After the waters receded, they sought guidance from an oracle on how to repopulate the earth. The goddess Themis told them to “throw behind you the bones of your great mother!”
• The Transformation: They realized “mother” meant Gaia (the Earth) and her “bones” were the rocks. As they threw stones over their shoulders, the rocks softened and turned into people-the stones thrown by Deucalion became men, and those thrown by Pyrrha became women.
Other Stone Figures in Mythology
Talos: A mythical protector of Crete made entirely of bronze (rather than stone), forged by Hephaestus.

The Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion at the southernmost tip of the Attica peninsula forms the southern pattern vertex of the famed “Sacred isosceles triangle” of ancient Greece. Mentioned in the Odyssey as “holy Sounion, cape of Athens”

The Sacred Triangle Concept
· The Geometry: On a map, the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, the Temple of Aphaia on Aegina, and the Parthenon (or Temple of Hephaestus) in Athens form an isosceles triangle.
· This alignment reflects ancient knowledge of sacred geometry, astronomy, or a grand geodetic master plan.
Key Sites in the Isosceles Triangle
· Temple of Poseidon (Sounion): Perched on a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea, built between 444-440 BCE.
· Temple of Aphaia (Aegina): A well-preserved sanctuary sitting on a pine-covered hill on the island of Aegina.
· The Athenian Vertex (Athens): Usually represented by the Parthenon on the Acropolis or the nearby Temple of Hephaestus. What do you think??
